Alkema studio
The traditional structure of this building on one of the main canals was changed completely in the nineteen-seventies, from timber floor beams and brick walls to a concrete skeleton of floors and columns, leaving only the front façade and balcony.
The heavily decorated 17th century balcony stretches along the rear façade on the first floor.
The movement from the entrance down to the lower level studio, together with the monumental, white plastered balustrade, forms the two main organizing elements.
